About Derive
Derive is a handwriting notebook for maths, science and engineering students. You write on an infinite canvas with your pen and it reads the working as actual maths. Each line gets checked against the one above, so if you drop a negative on line three you find out on line three. If you get stuck, there's a tutor panel next to the page that helps with the step you're on. You can also turn your own notes into practice exam questions, run code cells on the page, write over PDFs and lecture slides, and export to LaTeX, PDF, PNG or SVG. Old notes come across from Goodnotes, Notability, OneNote and Samsung Notes. Works offline and syncs between iPad, iPhone, Mac, Windows and the web.
